To give you a taste of what to expect on your next Camino journey we have created this short clip of the food on the Camino de Santiago.
From traditional Galician dishes to the world famous Paella you will be spoiled for choice when it comes to delicious cuisine to try out on your trip. Popular foods on the Camino Frances include the Octopus “Pulpo” that can be difficult to cook but tasty when it is cooked right.
Pinxos and tapas are also staples in the restaurants along the Camino routes. The Northern Camino in particular is jam packed with a wide range of mouth watering tapas to try out. The basque country is a food lovers paradise and San Sebastian is popular with chefs and foodies from around the world.
Last but not least, be sure to sip the region’s wines. Autumn is the time for wine harvesting in Europe. Try the famous Albarino wine in the Rias Baixes region on the Portuguese Camino or walk alongside the vineyards in La Rioja region on the Camino Frances.
