Peter Murtagh – author of Buen Camino!
As part of its Celtic Extravaganza and series of events focusing on Galicia, the Instituto Cervantes in Dublin recently organised a reading and discussion with Irish Times journalist Peter Murtagh. Peter traveled the Camino de Santiago various times and is the author, along with his daughter Natasha, of Buen Camino! a personal and joint account of this special father-daughter Camino journey from St Jean Pied de Port in the Pyrenees to Santiago de Compostela, and then on to Cape Fisterra.
Roland and Maria from CaminoWays.com attended the event, where Peter Murtagh shared pictures of the trip and read fragments of Buen Camino! while Galician singer Susana Garrido added a musical touch. Roland had a chat with Peter to find out more about an interesting tattoo he spotted on his arm…
Peter and Natasha’s journey to Santiago started in Croagh Patrick in County Mayo, Ireland’s holy mountain, and the CaminoWays.com team is heading to Croagh Patrick for Reek Sunday, 28th July, we hope you can join us!
