The quiet Camino Finisterre to Muxia is a unique route, as it is the only Camino trail starting in Santiago de Compostela and heading West to the Atlantic Ocean and Cape Fisterra. This is an ancient trail linked to the pre-Christian origins of the Camino de Santiago.
From Santiago to Cee, the Camino is inland, but from Cee to Finisterre (Fisterra) and to Muxia, it follows the coast.
Quiet villages and hamlets, remote farmland, and unspoiled countryside await on this Camino route to the sea cliffs of the westernmost point in Spain, Cape Fisterra.
After Fisterra (Finisterre), we recommend you continue your journey along the craggy coastline of Atlantic Galicia to the fishing village of Muxía, famed for its sanctuary by the ocean and ‘magic’ stones.

Finisterre Pilgrim Certificates
On this Camino, you can claim your Finisterrana Pilgrim certificate in Fisterra, and if you continue along the coast to Muxía, you will claim the Muxiana pilgrim certificate.
Of course, as you are going away from Santiago de Compostela, you cannot get your Pilgrim Certificate in Santiago de Compostela unless you combine this Camino with one that finishes in Santiago.
To Get your Certificate in Santiago, you need to combine it with a Camino to Santiago, such as; the Camino Frances from Sarria or the Camino Portugues Coastal from Baiona, etc…
