On behalf of the CaminoWays.com, I would like to wish all our clients, friends and families a wonderful Christmas and New Year full of exciting travels and adventures.
2018 has been another fantastic year for the team and we’d like to thank you sincerely for your continued and enthusiastic support.
The team keeps growing and we have travelled far and wide again this year to introduce the Camino de Santiago and all our amazing routes to pilgrims across the world, including the Los Angeles Travel and Adventure Show, ITB Berlin, Adventure Travel Summit in Tuscany, WTM in London and the Ploughing Championships in Ireland. Many of you have also met us virtually, taking part in our monthly online talks.
Our intrepid team took to the trails to walk and cycle many of our best routes this year including the Camino to Fisterra, the Via Francigena in Tuscany, Tour du Mont Blanc, the Camino Ingles and the Camino Frances across the Pyrenees.
In May, a group of CaminoWays.com staff travelled to Tralee to take part in another edition of the Kerry Camino Walking Festival, which we proudly support every year. In addition to the great walking trails and superb views, there was a festive atmosphere for the whole weekend with our own Juanma instigating an impromptu singalong of his favourite traditional Galician tunes in County Kerry.
We were also honoured to be one of the main supporters of the Celtic Camino Festival, organised by the Camino Society Ireland in the West of Ireland.
In July, we celebrated St James Day with a Tapas and Tales event where many pilgrims share some of their touching Camino stories. Also in the Summer, I cycled the Camino Portugues from Vigo with my family and a group of friends. This is the second year we take our group of all ages to the Camino and we loved every minute of our trip.
In the Autumn, we also launched our new brochure, you can download it here, it’s packed with travel inspiration and tips: CAMINOWAYS BROCHURE.
Our Greenlife Fund has supported reforestation projects carried out by Mossy Earth in Portugal and Ireland and for 2019 we have another very worthy initiative to promote sustainable travel.
We are really excited about 2019 and we are looking forward to helping you plan your travels. Wishing you a Merry Christmas and an adventurous New Year on behalf of the team!
