Camino from BurgosOn this trail you will be walking the Camino from Burgos, this section takes you across the vast wide open spaces of the Meseta and to pretty medieval villages such as Castrojeriz and Carrion de los Condes.
The sounds of nature and endless crop fields will be your companions for this section of the Camino de Santiago, dotted with hamlets, picturesque sleepy villages and Romanesque churches.
You will finish this Camino section in the elegant city of León, where you should admire the cathedral, the remains of its Roman walls, the Romanesque Royal Basilica of Saint Isidoro and the neo-Gothic Casa de Botines, built by Gaudí. Treat yourself to the exquisite cheese and cured meats of the region.
Caminoways offers a choice of routes, provides extensive directions, arranges good accommodations and even transports your luggage. All you have to do is walk, and enjoy. This was our fourth year of doing the Camino de Santiago with Caminoways, and we plan to continue with them until we complete the walk all the way to Santiago. They are responsive, friendly and helpful. Accommodations are always clean, safe and comfortable, even if sometimes a bit Spartan in the smaller villages. I highly recommend Caminoways.
