2020 CAMINO GUIDED TOUR

  • July 10th

This is one of the most challenging stages of the Camino but also one of the most beautiful, especially if you follow the ‘Napoleon Route‘ over the Roncesvalles Pass. The views of the Pyrenees are definitely worth the effort! Along the route, you will meet fellow pilgrims from all over the world, as St Jean is the second most popular Camino starting point.

Visit the city of Pamplona (Iruña in Basque), world-famous for its San Fermín running of the bulls festival. This multicolored festival literally transforms the Navarre capital, which becomes the theatre of a popular spectacle mixing the profane with the sacred. On this occasion, the inhabitants are dressed in white, with a red scarf and a red belt.

From Pamplona, the group will continue on their Camino the iconic pilgrim sculpture at Alto del Perdón, where you can enjoy fantastic 360 panoramic views of Pamplona, the valley and the vast countryside ahead.

The group will then continue across the mountains of Navarra and the vineyards of La Rioja, passing medieval bridges, castles, churches and picturesque villages along the way, such as Puente de la Reina and Cirauqui before finishing in the pretty medieval town of Estella-Lizarra.

This Camino guided tour departs on specific dates only and you will have to select this start date when booking. Contact our travel experts at info@caminoways.com if you require additional information.
