We are well known as the walking experts and we have successfully organized thousands of trips on the Camino de Santiago routes in Spain, Italy, and Portugal for over 8 years.
Recently, our Camino customers asked us for winter options during our quieter months and where would we recommend in Europe as a winter walking option?
There was an obvious choice: Walking holidays in the Canary Islands.
Walking holidays in the Canary Islands
Winter walking has taken off as a phenomenon in recent times due to its physical and mental health benefits. Getting winter sun in the darker months of the year while enjoying a hike with friends in a beautiful part of the world can lift your mood.
The Canary Islands offer a plethora of winter walking options, whether you prefer the volcanic, alien landscapes of Tenerife, the tropical forests of Gran Canaria or the mountainous valleys of the ancient La Gomera, there is something for everyone and every ability.
Apart from the great walking options, the weather in Gran Canaria, Tenerife and La Gomera is generally ideal year-round. The best times to go are during the winter months but the climate is good all year round.
And we haven’t even talked about the food, the wine, the biodiversity, the culture and the rich history of the Islands which is all open to exploration as part of your trip.
Recently we have been exploring and creating stunning walking routes in Gran Canaria, Tenerife, and La Gomera.
Our walks will take in the best of the Islands, ensuring some of the most beautiful scenery and experiences.
We can’t wait to share these with our lovely customers and walking enthusiasts looking for a new adventure.
