Basecamp is located at Lough Dan Scout Centre in Roundwood, Co. Wicklow, Ireland.
Directions: get to Roundwood, we are located 5min drive from Roundwood village. The campsite is signposted from Roundwood. Coming from the M50/N11 Kilmacanogue take the right hand turn at the two pubs in Roundwood (The Coach House and The Inn) before the pedestrian crossing. Go over the ramps and take the left fork, follow the road for 0.5km then around a right hand bend and up the hill. At the junction take the left turn. Go down the hill and over the bridge. Turn right at the junction. The centre is located 0.5km on the right. The centre is not serviced by public transport. For map of the area:


Each ticket admits 1 person. Please print your ticket and take with you on the day. Your ticket will have your selected walk printed (long, short or scavenger) and you should present it at the tent to get your complimentary plate of food.  Your ticket gives you access to parking space, a place in one of the walks, one plate of food and other activities taking place on the day organised by partners 53 Degrees North, Survivalist Ireland, D-Pete Fitness and Health Clinic. Please stay in the designated event area during the festival. At the end of the day make sure you give your ticket with your name and email to staff to enter our draw (2 hotel nights for 2 people in Santiago de Compostela *T&C apply). Tickets are non refundable but can be transferred to other people.

Parking TicketPARKING

There is parking space at the festival. The car park will be supervised but users park at their own risk. We recommend you don’t leave any visible valuable items in your car.

Also, as you park your car before the walk, we recommend you leave a piece of paper with your name and phone number, as well as number of people walking with you. There are three walking trails:

The long walk will depart at 9.30am and the short walk and scavenger walks will depart at 10,30am. Be sure to arrive on time.

Greenlife Tours Ltd trading as is not responsible for incidents that could happen during the event. However, the Red Cross will be present at the event in case of emergency. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times. We urge participants to follow basic safety rules provided by guides and staff, as well as respecting the environment and follow a ‘leave no trace’ code on the day.


Filming and photography of the event will take place during the festival for future promotional materials by attending this event you understand you might be filmed or photographed during the duration of the festival. These materials might be used for promotional purposes by in the future.


By booking tickets and attending the Walking Festival, I acknowledge that this athletic event is an extreme test of a person’s physical and mental limits and carries with it the potential for injury and property loss and death. The risks include, but are not limited to: actions of other people including, but not limited to, participants, staff, spectators, event officials and event monitors; lack of hydration, weather, and/or other natural conditions. I hereby assume all of the risks of participating in this event.

I certify that I am physically fit, have sufficiently trained for participation in this event and have not been advised otherwise by a qualified medical person.

I hereby consent to receive medical treatment that may be deemed advisable in the event of injury, accident, and/or illness during this event.

I understand that at this event or related activities I may be photographed. I agree to allow my photo, video, or film likeness to be used for any legitimate purpose by the event holders, producers, sponsors, organizers, and/or assigns.
