Press release date: 19th September 2012
This holiday is for those that wish to spend a weekend on the Camino and can be undertaken from a Thursday to a Sunday, with only 2 days walking.
The first day of walking takes in all of the beautiful surroundings of the Camino by passing through woods, sleepy villages and along streams. Lunch is not included, but you will have the chance to stop en-route in your choice of restaurant and experience the local cuisine.
The second and third day, will see you follow a trail, lined by rows of tall eucalyptus trees, on your journey to Monte del Gozo (‘Mount of Joy’) and it is from here that you can catch your first glimpse of the Cathedral of Santiago.
After arriving in the city (264m, population 80,000), you can explore this UNESCO World Heritage Site’s architecture and delight in the wonderful atmosphere in this spiritual and cultural mecca. Nightlife in Santiago is exceptional and one of the best all over Spain.
All accommodation has been specially selected by the Camino Ways team. Comfort is their top priority, and, after a hard day of exploring they feel you deserve only the very best comforts combined with excellent local cuisine. That is why they personally select only the very best hotels and endeavour to seek out cosy and rustic accommodations packed with character.
You can enjoy this bank holiday break with Camino Ways from just €295pps.
