The 25th of July marks a double celebration for us: it is the feast of Saint James (or Santiago, Sant Iago in Galician) and it is also Galicia’s National Day.
St. James, one of the Apostles, is the patron Saint of Spain, Galicia, and of pilgrims on the Camino.
St James Day 2020 is very different this year. As many of our fellow pilgrims are not able to travel to the Camino this year, we are bringing the Camino to you!
This year we are celebrating the Feast of St. James in a very special way in Ireland by re-launching our Camino training walks.
The first of our Sunday walks takes place this Sunday, July 26th, and starts at the Seafront in Bray.
We will be hiking an 8km trail on magnificent Bray Head with superb coastal views. It should take approximately 2 to 2.30 hours to complete.
We have already sold tickets for this event so please hurry to get yours and get a taste of the Camino at home.
Hope to see you out there!
To all our fellow pilgrims, we wish a happy and safe St. James Day 2020,
From all at Caminoways.com
