Viewer beware: The impulse to take a hike is strong – New York Times
We are excited to announce that we will be hosting a special screening of the inspiring ‘6 Ways to Santiago’ Camino documentary. This will be the first official screening of the documentary in Ireland and we would love you all to come along to the premier.
This beautifully shot documentary focuses on 6 people who are walking the Camino as a way to redefine the way they live their lives. With great insights and personal stories the film fills us with heartfelt admiration for anyone who chooses to walk their own path. The film’s Director, Lydia Smith and the crew that she worked alongside believe that Walking the Camino will illuminate what enables us to transcend the perceived boundaries of race, language, social status, age, faith and nationality, and remind us of what is best about being human.
Director Lydia B. Smith embarked on this project back in 2008 when she returned from walking the 500 mile trail. The film has won numerous prestigious awards, including, Best Documentary at the Hollywood Film Festival and Outstanding Achievement in documentary film-making at the Newport Beach Film Festival.
Adam Wells is the offical UK ambassador for this award winning documentary. He walked his Camino Francés in 2011. He found the journey to be ‘life enhancing and life changing’ returning home feeling ‘compelled to inspire others’ to experience the same. Based in London and Logroño, Adam established Discover The Camino to help and inspire others to follow their own path of discovery and transformation through walking the Camino de Santiago. Adam will join us in the office on March 8th to answer any questions that you may have.
This special Camino documentary screening is open for the public to attend. Register here for tickets for the private screening in our warehouse on March 8th.
