Every year, we host many Camino talks both online and offline, where you can get useful information from our travel specialists.
If you live in the Dublin region, you can join the CaminoWays.com team for our monthly preparation walk and get ready for your Camino adventure.
You can also meet the team at many events and travel shows around the world and join our annual St James Day celebrations!
Throughout the year we host Camino talks both online and off line with our outdoor clothing partners across Ireland. All of the talks will give you an idea of the most popular Camino routes, the best dates to travel, the history of the famous pilgrimage and planning tips for this very special journey.
Here’s the schedule and topics for for upcoming talks. All our talks are free of charge but there are limited spaces available so make sure you register to secure your place (we will be adding registration links closer to the dates). To pre-register, you can send us an email to email@example.com. All talks start at 7pm unless specified otherwise.
Please note dates and topics might change during the year. Registration is required for most of our talks as spaces are limited.

The CaminoWays.com team heads out for a Sunday hike once a month, usually in the Dublin/Wicklow Mountains area. We prepare a nice walking route, usually under 10km long, and meet in the morning at an arranged point. Whether you are preparing for the Camino de Santiago or just enjoy the outdoors, our preparation walk is good healthy fun.
Our walks are open to everybody, whether you have just started to think about the Camino, you have done the Camino in the past or you just fancy heading for a walk with fellow walking enthusiasts. This is a lovely way to begin your Camino preparations.
If you are thinking about the Camino for the first time you will have the chance to meet walkers who have experienced the Camino journey. If you have walked the Camino in the past we would love to meet you and share advice on the next route for you. Don’t be afraid to ask those all important questions about your next trip.

To get used of walking long distance it is a good idea to train your legs. Depending on the duration of your journey you may require more time getting your body ready.
For more fitness tips and advice you can download our free Camino fitness eBook. This guide will give you all of the information you need to get prepared for your next long distance walk.
If you are part of a charity group heading on the Camino contact firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange a specific preparation walk for your group.
ST JAMES DAY
St James Day or Santiago Day, on 25th July, is the most important date in the Camino de Santiago calendar. Many pilgrims aim to reach Santiago de Compostela for St James Day and the city becomes a hub of cultural events and festivities. If St James Day falls on a Sunday, the year will be considered ‘Holy’ or ‘Jacobean’ and the Holy Door in Santiago Cathedral will remain open for pilgrims throughout that year.
At CaminoWays.com we like to celebrate St James Day and our love for the Camino with our clients and we organise a special event each year. It is an opportunity to meet again and raise a glass together.
In 2017 we are hosting a special screening of I’ll Push You, the documentary following best friends Justin Skeesuck and Patrick Gray on their inspirational Camino journey. If you’d like to join the celebrations and for more details: Special Screening of I’ll Push You.
These are some of the international travel shows and festivals you can find the team at each year:
Holiday World Show, Kerry Camino Festival and Ploughing Championships in Ireland
Telegraph Travel Show, WTM, Kewswick Mountain Festival and TravMedia in the UK
ITB in Germany
Adventure Travel Summit taking place in Argentina in 2017
If you’d like to host a Camino talk in your area, please get in touch, you can email us at email@example.com.
