Now that you have a taste of the Camino it’s time to start out on your next adventure. Here are the top Camino routes to try out:
Camino Frances
This route is also known as the French Way and will take you all the way from St Jean Pied de Port to Santiago de Compostela over the course of 35 nights. If you want to get a feel for the Camino culture you can start off walking one week at a time. The last 111km from Sarria to Santiago is the most popular route.
Camino Portugues
The most popular section of the Camino Portugues starts in Tui, Galicia. Here you can explore Tui’s old town before starting your walk to Santiago which will take you just over a week to complete. If you would like to do the full Camino Portugues you will start your journey in Lisbon, home to many UNESCO world sites.
Coastal Camino
Famous for Port wine and delicious seafood, the Coastal Camino (Portuguese Coastal Way) has a picture perfect starting point in the city of Porto.
Camino del Norte
A route full of amazing seascapes and landscapes, this is the perfect route for coastal walkers looking for a taste of Northern Spain. You will start this route in the foodie city of San Sebastian which has the most michelin stars in Europe.
