Also to celebrate St James’ Day, CaminoWays.com is offering 10% off Camino bookings made before the end of July (for travel from October 2014).
The CaminoWays.com walking festival takes place on Sunday 27th July and will be based at the Scout Centre in Lough Dan, just outside Roundwood village, in County Wicklow.
Participants can choose between three different walking trails, with one to suit every level of ability.
The trails are:
• A 14km guided trail for more experienced walkers, departing at 9.30am
• A manageable 4km trail with views of the lake, starting at 10.30am
• A 4km family-friendly treasure hunt suitable for families with younger kids, also stating at 10.30am
Aside from these walks, there will be lots of other fun activities including, a tasty giant paella, prepared on the day by Dublin-based Spanish food company, FoodFiesta.ie, live music, outdoor skills demonstrations and fitness and gear advice for those planning a Camino trek this year.
Ticket holders will also be entered into a draw to win two nights for two people in Santiago de Compostela.
There will also be a photography competition with fantastic prizes for the best pictures of the day that are shared using the #caminofestirl hashtag.
