Camino Portugues Central Short-break
This Camino Portugues Central Short-break of the Camino Portugues, or Portuguese Way will take you along the last 65km of the route historically followed by Portuguese pilgrims on their way to Santiago.
This 3 stage walk has charming Pontevedra as the starting point.
Walk from the picturesque streets in Pontevedra’s medieval old town and follow the yellow arrows across the Galician countryside and the towns of Caldas de Reis and Padrón, the hometown of Galicia’s most acclaimed poet, Rosalía de Castro, and reputedly the place where St James first landed in Galicia.
It is also the best place to try the world-famous Padron peppers, of course. This route is one of the most Popular Santiago routes.
