This Camino guided tour takes the group to the first stage of the famous Camino Frances, starting the walk from picturesque St Jean Pied de Port in the French Basque region and crossing the Pyrenees into Spain. Along the way, you will be stopping in lively Pamplona, famous for its running of the bulls, and medieval towns such as Puente de la Reina and Estella. Take in the fantastic views of the Pyrenees and at the Alto del Perdón pilgrim statue. This is a more challenging Camino section, as you will be hiking across mountainous regions.

The group will be starting in the market town of Sarria which the most popular Camino starting point, and walking all the way to the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela, where you will receive your Compostela pilgrim certificate. The lush Galician countryside awaits with its rolling green hills, pretty Romanesque churches and quiet hamlets. Once in Melide, taste octopus in one of the many ‘pulperias’ (octopus restaurants) in town. It is the region’s most traditional dish and a must-try at least once!
