The fourth section of the Arles Way Camino route starts at the foot of the Pyrenees, in the town of Pau. This is one of the most scenic stretches of the Arles Camino trail (Voie d’Arles), taking pilgrims from France into the town of Jaca, in Spain. After walking up from the valley, pilgrims cross the famous mountain pass of Somport, in the heart of the highest peaks of the Pyrenees. Views from here are simply exceptional. You will finish this section of the Arles Camino walking downhill all the way to Jaca, a popular winter resort and former capital of the Kingdom of Aragón.
