The third section of the Arles Way Camino route (Voie d’Arles) takes pilgrims from the city of Toulouse, the ‘pink city’; to Pau.

Shortly after Pibrac, walkers will enter the Bouconne forest which marks the border between Languedoc and Gascony. From here, walkers are rewarded with magnificent views over the surrounding countryside and the hills of the Gers region. On your way to the walled town of Auch, the Camino trail offers a mix of dirt roads and grassy paths with beautiful passages on a ridge after Monferran-Savès. After this stretch, the Arles Camino becomes more hilly and walkers then continue their Way towards Santiago, across forests and agricultural land, crossing many rivers and passing various villages of rich medieval architecture. This Camino walk ends in the pocket-size city of Pau, home to an elegant castle and ‘City of Art and History’ since 2011.
