CaminoWays supporting the Basecamp Backpack Challenge

CaminoWays supports Basecamp backpack challenge

The team at CaminoWays.com are delighted to support the Basecamp team in their backpack challenge to help the homeless this Christmas. Basecamp has teamed up with Dublin City Council and Crosscare Social Support Services to ask their customers, readers and friends, to fill a backpack to help at least one of the 5,000 people homeless in Ireland.

We’ve gathered some great outdoor gear from the team and our friends at Hi-tec and Contigo Europe for our backpack. The backpack includes a pair of Hi-tec boots, a Contigo stainless steel flask, hats, gloves, scarves, socks and lip balm.

The amount of homeless people on the streets is increasing across Ireland. This challenge aims to get as many backpacks as possible filled and sent up to the Bru Aimsir service currently housing 100 homeless people every night.

If you want to get involved in this wonderful initiative, you can fill a backpack with any of the following items:

• Hats
• Water Bottles
• Socks
• Scarves
• Long Sleeved T-Shirts
• Waterproof Clothes
• Jackets
• Flasks
• Toiletries
• Hoodies
• Jumpers
• Lip Balm

You can also create a video of your backpack and nominate friends on Social Media to get them involved. See our video below!

Backpacks can be dropped into the Basecamp store in Middle Abbey St or dropped directly into the Crosscare Staff in Thomas St. Want to help the homeless this Christmas? Create a video yourself today and nominate friends/family on Social Media to get them involved.
